I’ve been wanting to start a blog about my work for a while. Thanks to “Show Your Work!” by Austin Kleon, I’m finally doing it.
The hope is to mostly use this in the same way that I’ve used individual notes.txt files for each project – basically to write out small derivations or explanations as I figure them out in research. Everyone has those moments where you spend hours just to prove to yourself that a sentence in a manuscript is correct. It would be nice to sometimes show some of that work that went into proving those small instances.
Every once in a while, I hope to also highlight completed work and write out short summaries of my papers. We’ve got quite a few papers coming out from the group in the next few months, so this might make up a higher proportion of posts for a bit.
Finally, I’ll also talk about arXiv papers I find interesting. This segment of posts probably won’t be as frequent as they should be, given the high numbers of arXiv papers posted every day.
Anyway, I hope this ends up being interesting and possibly a bit useful to someone besides me.
